PICK YOUR FAVOURITE FIRST

01

Enjoy the sea

SCHEVENINGEN

A kilometre-long beach in the backyard, that is Scheveningen for The Hague. Four seasons a year a wonderful place to stay. With a glass of Chardonnay on a lounge sofa in the sun or with a sailing jacket full in the wind. Whatever the season, the effect of the fresh wind remains unchanged; a relaxed, rosy and satisfied holiday feeling.

DE SCHEVENINGSE PIER

The quirky and cozy Zwarte Pad in the north on the dunes, the place for beach parties, but also the place where it is a bit quieter than the beach at the Kurhaus and the Pier.

The Noordboulevard, the wide beach between the Zwarte Pad and the Pier, located on the boulevard with shops, kiosks and Foodhall Scheveningen. It is usually a bit quieter here than in front of the Kurhaus.

The beach in front of the Kurhaus and De Pier. Liveliness everywhere here, with many beach pavilions, an entire boulevard full of eateries and various attractions such as Legoland and SEA Life Scheveningen.

Sightseeing

HOT SPOTS

The Binnenhof, where the government is located is a must for everyone who comes to The Hague. But the Mauritshuis and Madurodam are also highly recommended. You can also choose to take it easy and enjoy watching the many tourists and residents in the colourful city.

MADURODAM

Madurodam. Must experience.  There is so much to do in Madurodam. From miniature Holland to spectacular attractions and the best things to do. You will lack eyes, but especially hands during your voyage of discovery through our country. You have to experience it.   Where else can you save our country from the water in one day, become a famous DJ and see castles and palaces? Spot the fastest trains, extinguish a fire in the port of Rotterdam and sail to New Amsterdam? Also on the agenda: a visit to the king and flying in a real plane, The Flying Dutchman. Together in Madurodam you will experience a day full of doing, seeing, playing and learning. For young and old.

MAURITSHUIS

The Mauritshuis is located in the centre of The Hague, the historical and political heart of the Netherlands. A small world-class museum with a formidable collection of Dutch and Flemish paintings from the 17th century; the golden age of this type of art. The museum consists of two striking historical buildings: the Mauritshuis, a city palace on the Plein in The Hague and the Prince William V Gallery at the Buitenhof.

In the Mauritshuis, you’ll discover iconic masterpieces, such as the Girl with a Pearl Earring by Johannes Vermeer and the Anatomy Lesson of Dr Nicolaes Tulp by Rembrandt, which attract hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world to our museum every year.

The moment you enter the Mauritshuis, you start experiencing the love for these old masters, and our drive to share the history and stories behind them in a modern and inspiring way with a broad and diverse audience.
